Healthy, Macro-Friendly Snickers Bites

I’m going to be honest, I have no idea where this recipe came from.

All I know is that I never want it to leave.

For those of us with a sweet tooth (guilty as charged), the urge to consume sugar in mass quantities is often too tempting. That’s why I always like to find healthier alternatives to satisfy that sweet craving without going off the rails.

This recipe was passed along to me by someone who it was passed along to, and whoever came up with it is a healthy genius, because these little bites taste like snickers and won’t break the calorie bank.

Ingredients:
1 cup all natural peanut butter
2 tbsp coconut butter
2 tbsp honey
2 scoops vanilla (or pb flavored) protein powder
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 bar dark chocolate, melted
handful of roasted, salted peanuts, chopped

Directions:
Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl and mix 
Press mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased loaf or baking pan
Mix coconut oil, cocoa powder and dark chocolate and spread on top
Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Allow to set then cut into 8 bites
